01Important notice
Before using the Soniqx application (hereinafter «the App»), please read this Privacy Policy carefully and in full. It explains what information the App processes, why, who else receives it, and what you can do about it.
This Privacy Policy forms part of the agreement between you and the developer. If you do not accept it, please do not install or use the App, or uninstall it immediately. By downloading, installing or using the App, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, which cover subscriptions, permitted use and important safety information about listening at boosted volume.
02Who we are
2.1 The App is developed and operated by Evgenii Kondakov, trading as ThaiTopApp888 (hereinafter «we», «us» or «the developer»). For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, the developer is the data controller for the limited technical data described in this Policy.
2.2 This Policy governs the downloading, installation and use of the App, as well as the use of related services provided through it. Together with any annexes and the documentation of the third-party technologies listed in section 6, it constitutes the complete statement of our data practices for the App.
2.3 We do not operate a back-end server for the App. We do not maintain user accounts, and we hold no user database. Everything described below is either processed on your device or handled by the third-party providers named in section 6.
03What the App does
3.1 Soniqx is an audio utility for Android. Its purpose is to increase the loudness of audio played on your device — music, video, games, calls, alarms and notifications — whether played through the built-in speaker, wired headphones or a Bluetooth output device. It does not require root access, does not modify the operating system and does not install any driver or system component.
Scope of this description. This Policy is written to cover the full range of audio functions the App may offer across its versions. Not every function described below is present or enabled in every version or in every region. Where a function is not present in the version installed on your device, the parts of this Policy that relate to it simply do not apply to you. The functions the App may provide never change the categories of data described in section 4.
3.2 How the App produces its effect. Depending on the version, the App may provide any of the following, all of which operate exclusively through audio interfaces that the Android operating system makes available to applications:
- Loudness boost — a software audio effect supplied by the operating system, applied to the device's general audio output stream. This is the primary function of the App.
- Multi-band equalizer and bass boost — adjustment of the frequency response of the output, implemented through the same audio effect interfaces.
- Direct control of the system volume level — setting the operating system's own output level, which may include levels above the point at which your device would normally display a safe-volume warning. Where this function is offered it is switched off by default and requires a separate explicit confirmation from you. See clause 5.4 and section 3 of our Terms of Service.
3.3 What all of these have in common is that they act on output parameters only. None of them reads, copies or inspects the audio itself.
3.4 Background operation. So that the chosen settings continue to apply after you leave or minimise the App, it runs as a foreground service and displays a persistent notification with controls from which you can adjust the level or switch the effect off. Android requires this notification for any service running in the background; it cannot be hidden while the service is active, and stopping the service from the notification removes it. The service exists solely to keep the audio effect applied and collects no data of its own.
3.5 Saved settings. The App remembers the settings you last chose — the boost level and, where those functions are available, your equalizer and bass boost values — and restores them the next time it starts. These values are stored on your device only, as described in section 4.2.
3.6 The App does not listen to, record, capture, analyse, store or transmit the audio playing on your device, and does not use the microphone at all. It has no access to the content of your music, calls, videos or any other audio, and no audio ever leaves your device. This is true of every function described in clause 3.2 and of every version of the App.
04Data we process
4.1 No account, no personal profile
The App does not require registration. We do not ask for and do not collect your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, date of birth, photograph or any government identifier. We do not ask you to sign in with Google or any other identity provider.
4.2 Settings stored on your device
The App saves your last boost level, any equalizer and bass boost values you have set, your interface preferences and your advertising consent choice in the App's own private storage area on your device. Android protects this area so that other applications cannot read it. These values are never uploaded to us, are not associated with any identifier we hold, and are deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data through your device settings.
4.3 Technical data collected automatically
Through the third-party services named in section 6, the following categories of technical data are collected automatically when you use the App:
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device and app information | Device model and manufacturer, Android version, screen characteristics, language and region settings, App version, mobile network operator | Compatibility, diagnostics, analytics |
| Diagnostics and performance | Crash reports, error stack traces, application-not-responding events, launch and rendering times | Fixing defects and improving stability |
| Usage data | Aggregated events such as app opens, session length, which features and presets are used, subscription screen views | Understanding which features are worth developing |
| Identifiers | Google Advertising ID, an app-instance identifier generated by the analytics library | Advertising, frequency capping, measurement (see section 7) |
| Approximate location | Country and region inferred from your IP address | Ad relevance, applying the correct regional privacy rules, currency display |
Approximate location is derived from your IP address at country or region level. The App does not request the Android location permission and does not obtain GPS or any other precise location data.
4.4 Payment data
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. Google provides us only with anonymised confirmation of the purchase and its status. We never receive or store your payment card number, bank details or billing address.
4.5 What we never access
The App does not access your microphone, camera, contacts, call log, SMS messages, calendar, photo gallery, files or precise location. It does not read the audio or media files stored on your device.
05Device permissions
5.1 The App declares only permissions required by the functions it actually offers. The table below lists every permission the App may declare across its versions; depending on your version, some of them may not be declared at all. The authoritative list for the copy installed on your device is always the one your device itself shows, under the App's entry in your system settings.
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Modify audio settings MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS |
To apply the loudness effect to the device's audio output. This is the core function of the App. |
| Post notifications POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
To display the control notification belonging to the background service, from which you can adjust or switch off the boost. |
| Foreground service FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE |
To keep the boost active while the App is minimised or closed. No data is collected through the service; it exists solely to keep the audio effect applied. |
| Internet and network state INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE |
To load advertising, deliver analytics and crash reports, and verify subscription status. Audio never travels over this connection. |
| Advertising ID AD_ID |
To allow the advertising library to read the resettable advertising identifier described in section 7. |
| Billing BILLING |
To offer and validate subscriptions through Google Play. |
| Modify system settings WRITE_SETTINGS only in versions offering direct system volume control |
To set the operating system's own output volume level. Android grants this permission only through a separate system confirmation screen that you must complete yourself, and it can be revoked there at any time. See clause 5.4. |
5.2 The App does not request the microphone (record audio) permission, and does not request access to your files or media, your precise or approximate device location, your contacts, your call log, your SMS messages, your calendar or your camera.
5.3 You can review and revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. Revoking the audio settings permission will stop the boost from working; revoking the notification permission will prevent the background service from running, so the boost will not persist once you leave the App.
5.4 Direct system volume control and safe listening. Where a version of the App offers direct control of the system volume level, that function is switched off by default. Before it can be used for the first time, the App presents a notice explaining that output above the device's normal safe-volume threshold carries a risk of hearing damage, and asks you to confirm separately that you wish to proceed. Granting WRITE_SETTINGS is a distinct step performed in the Android system settings screen, not inside the App, and you may revoke it there at any time, which disables the function. No additional data is collected by this function.
06Third-party services
6.1 The App integrates the following third-party services. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) — aggregated usage statistics, device information and approximate location derived from IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) — crash reports, error traces, device state at the moment of a crash. Used solely to diagnose and fix defects.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) — delivery and measurement of advertising, including the advertising identifier. See how Google uses data from partner apps.
- Google Play Billing and Google Play services (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) — processing subscriptions, verifying purchases, distributing app updates.
6.2 We do not sell your data. We do not transfer it to data brokers, and we do not share it with advertising networks other than the one named above.
6.3 The providers named above are those integrated at the date of this Policy. We may replace a provider, or engage an additional one, within the same categories of service — advertising delivery and measurement, product analytics, crash diagnostics, payment processing and application distribution — and strictly for the purposes already described in this Policy. Any such change will not expand the categories of data listed in section 4, will not introduce any new purpose, and will not cause the App to collect any category of data this Policy says it does not collect. If you wish to know which providers are integrated in the version you are using, write to us at the address in section 20 and we will tell you.
6.4 If we ever intend to process a new category of data, or to process existing data for a new purpose, we will amend this Policy in accordance with section 18 and, where consent is required, obtain it before doing so.
07Advertising and the advertising ID
7.1 The free version of the App is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. Advertising may be personalised or non-personalised depending on your region and your consent choices.
7.2 To deliver, cap and measure advertising, AdMob uses the Google Advertising ID — a resettable identifier assigned by your device that is not tied to your name or other personal details.
7.3 You can control this at any time from your device, independently of the App:
- Reset the advertising ID: Settings → Google → All services → Ads → Reset advertising ID.
- Delete the advertising ID (Android 12 and later), which stops personalised advertising across all apps: Settings → Google → All services → Ads → Delete advertising ID.
- Opt out of ad personalisation in the same menu.
- Manage what Google shows you at My Ad Center.
7.4 An active subscription removes advertising from the App. Where advertising is removed, no advertising identifier is passed to AdMob.
08Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
8.1 If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App displays a consent request on first launch using Google's User Messaging Platform, in line with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.
8.2 Through that dialog you can accept or refuse personalised advertising and the associated data processing. If you refuse, the App continues to work. You will see non-personalised advertising instead, which uses only contextual signals and the minimum data needed to serve and count an ad.
8.3 You can change your choice at any time from the privacy or consent option in the App's settings screen.
09Legal bases for processing
9.1 Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
| Processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the boost, equalizer and bass boost functions | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Processing a subscription and verifying its status | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Crash reports and stability diagnostics | Legitimate interests in maintaining a working product (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Security, fraud and abuse prevention | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Analytics and personalised advertising | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), obtained as described in section 8 |
| Responding to a legally binding request | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
9.2 Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
9.3 We do not process special category data, and we do not carry out automated decision-making producing legal effects or profiling beyond the advertising personalisation described in section 7.
10Data retention
10.1 Settings stored on your device remain there until you change them or uninstall the App.
10.2 Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google according to its own retention schedules. Firebase Analytics event data is retained for the period configured in the project; the default configuration for this App is 14 months, after which event-level data is deleted. Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.
10.3 Records of subscription transactions are retained by Google Play for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.
10.4 Because we operate no server of our own, we do not hold copies of this data beyond what is visible to us in the Firebase and AdMob consoles in aggregated form.
11International transfers
11.1 The providers named in section 6 operate globally, and data may be processed on servers outside your country of residence, including in the United States.
11.2 Where data originating in the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred outside those territories, the transfer is made on the basis of the safeguards implemented by the provider — the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details are available in the providers' own privacy documentation.
12Your rights
12.1 Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: obtain confirmation of whether we process data about you and a copy of it; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased; restrict or object to processing, including profiling for advertising; receive your data in a portable format; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
12.2 If you are a California resident, you additionally have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and disclosed, the right to request deletion, the right to correction, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing for personalised advertising, which may fall within the CCPA definition of «sharing», can be switched off using the controls in section 7.3. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
12.3 How to exercise your rights. Write to us at thaitopapp888@gmail.com with the subject line «Privacy request – Soniqx». Because the App has no accounts, we cannot identify you from our records alone; to act on a request relating to device-level data, please include your Google Advertising ID, your device model and the approximate dates on which you used the App. We respond within 30 days. If we cannot identify the data in question, we will tell you so and explain the device-level controls that achieve the same result.
12.4 The fastest and most complete route to erasure is to reset or delete your advertising ID as described in section 7.3 and uninstall the App. That removes the local settings and severs the identifier linking any historical analytics or advertising records to your device.
12.5 You may also exercise rights directly against Google in respect of the data it processes as a controller, using the controls in your Google Account.
13Children's privacy
13.1 The App is not directed to children. It is intended for users aged 16 or over. This age limit reflects both the advertising-supported model described in section 7 and the safety considerations set out in our Terms of Service: sustained listening at boosted volume carries a risk of hearing damage, and that risk is higher for children.
13.2 We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We do not design, market or promote the App to children, and it is not distributed in the children's or family categories of any app store.
13.3 If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has used the App and that data relating to them has been collected, contact us at thaitopapp888@gmail.com. We will take reasonable steps to have the relevant records deleted.
14Security
14.1 Data transmitted between the App and the services named in section 6 is encrypted in transit using TLS.
14.2 Access to the Firebase and AdMob consoles is restricted to the developer and protected by two-factor authentication.
14.3 We undertake to make all reasonable commercial efforts to protect the data processed through the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot provide an absolute guarantee. We accept no liability for loss of data arising from circumstances beyond our control, including network outages, device failure, operating system defects or force majeure events.
15Disclosure to third parties
15.1 Beyond the service providers named in section 6, we may disclose data only in the following circumstances:
- with your prior explicit consent;
- where required by applicable law, regulation, legal proceedings, or a binding request from a competent authority, and only to the extent so required;
- to detect, prevent or address fraud, security incidents or technical problems affecting the App;
- where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- in aggregated or anonymised form that cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual.
15.2 If the App is transferred to another owner, any associated data may be transferred with it. We will publish notice of such a transfer in this Policy, and the recipient will remain bound by commitments no less protective than those given here.
16Intellectual property
16.1 All copyright, trademark rights, patent rights, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights in the App and in the material associated with it — including text and its combinations, icons, graphics, equalizer presets, colours, interface design, layout structure, printed materials and electronic documents — are protected under applicable national intellectual property law and international treaties.
16.2 Except for software or technologies licensed from third parties, the developer holds the rights described above. Without our prior written consent, you may not exploit, transfer or authorise any third party to exploit or transfer those rights for any commercial or non-commercial purpose. We reserve the right to take legal action in response to unauthorised use.
16.3 We claim no rights whatsoever over the audio you listen to while using the App.
17Limitation of liability
17.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, including loss of data, loss of profit or business interruption.
17.2 Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability under mandatory consumer protection legislation.
17.3 Important safety limitations relating to hearing and to audio equipment are set out in our Terms of Service and should be read before using the boost function.
18Changes to this policy
18.1 We may amend this Policy to reflect changes in the App, in the services it uses or in applicable law. The revised version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
18.2 This Policy is deliberately written to describe the full range of functions the App may offer, so that it remains accurate as functions are enabled or withdrawn. Routine changes of that kind do not require an amendment. Where a change would materially affect how your data is processed — a new category of data, a new purpose, or a new category of recipient — we will bring it to your attention through an in-app notice and, where the law requires it, obtain your consent before the change takes effect.
18.3 Continued use of the App after a non-material change has been published constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
19Governing law
19.1 This Policy is governed by the law of the developer's country of permanent residence, without prejudice to the mandatory data protection and consumer protection rules of your own country of residence, which continue to apply where they afford you greater protection.
19.2 In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith written negotiation. If no resolution is reached, the dispute may be referred to the competent courts, subject to any mandatory rule that entitles a consumer to bring proceedings in their place of residence.
19.3 If you are in the EEA or the UK, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.
20Contact information
If you have questions about this Policy, the App, or a request relating to your data, please contact us. We aim to reply within 5 working days and, for formal data protection requests, within 30 days.
